Picked up a rear window tray in nice condition at Carlisle for my 72. It has the hinges already attached and I have the hinge half that mounts on the bulkhead. My question is what acts as the pivot pin, if you will, between these halfs? See the pictures. The piece that mounts on the car has a threaded nut welded to it. Searched all the usual Corvette supply houses and only Doc Rebuild has anything associated but he has the plastic bushings only. Anyone have pictures from their 68-72? Thanks/member_uploads/10001_10100/10002/6DE6A_rear_window_tray_hinge.jpg.

Vette(s): 1972 Corvette Stingray Coupe, 350 Base engine, p/s, p/b, a/c, automatic. All as original other than someone repainted it a Bright Yellow. It was Sunflower Yellow originally. Drives great, a nice 20 footer.

Here is a pic off the web. I did mine as well but don't have pics, but the tray rotates on the plastic bushing. I used a cardboard box to hold the tray in position while attaching the hinges. Hope this helps a bit.

I have uploaded a page from the 1972 Factory assembly manual. I hope it will help!
/member_uploads/7801_7900/7894/EC2EZ_Rear_Window_Stowage.jpgI am not sure but this plate should be on the coupe body frame. Here is the page for that.
