I want to perform the rectangular headlight conversion on my vette, however, I can't find the kit anywhere. I found the JC Whitney part number, 97ZX0029TF, just surfing around. It appears to be no longer available. Anyone know where/how much I can get one for. OR if you have one and want to convert back anyone interested in trading the entire headlight assemblies?
Thanks!
Thanks!

I know Ecklers, MidAmerica, and Corvette Central have kits for doing this.
Let us know how it turns out, and of course, we need photos.

I just bought these for my custom Vette. If you have access to a junk yard for the buckets for them, you can save about $100 buying them without the headlights. When you order them, the people will explain. My experience was a very well informed person on the phone, quick shipping, and the part fit in the Vette perfectly. I dont have the buckets yet, my 2nd Vette needs some repairs first, they do seem to be very high quality. Dave.

I'm in the process of installing a front clip on my vette and will be puting in rectangular headlights. I've already found a few kits but does anyone know REALLY how they install? Do they use the existing brackets for the pop-ups or do they have their own mounting hardware? I called one of the companies that sell these kits and they said that the directions say it's a direct bolt-on replacment. Another company said that it is attached to the underside of your front clip by an adhesive......but they would have a tech call me back because they where not exactly sure. Ya......i'm still waiting for that call. All the kits pictured look very simular. Anyone installed one of these kits?

I can say about my kit from VanaCorvette. They direct bolted, no bonding or chemicals of any kind. I bought them without the "headlights" in them, which i explained further up in this post includes buckets. Went to the junk yard, paid $30 for the buckets and all that came with them, installation was quick and simple. The entire install job was less than 40 minutes, and all fit fine.
