All of the brackets are there. All you need is the window, and the attatching hardware. If you can find a "donor" car, you can get everything you need.

Just did my 73. Not a difficult job at all. Sounds great out the back.

yep.... Installed one in my 76 about 6-7 years ago....
Pretty simple to do...as The General left all the holes in the frame around the window to mount the latches...so all you need are the window, the latches and two roof panels that have a recessed notch so the latches sit in...
I purchased everything I needed off a wrecked Corvette for less then 50 bucks at Carlisle..had to remove the pieces myself..maybe a dozen screws
But I can not remember if the inside plastic window frame had to be replaced... IN any case all the individual parts are available ..
The only thing I doid not install is the tray to hold the window.. I just lay it on the floor of the cargo area.. Just never got around to doing that...

The plastic window trim is no longer needed. Eight holes need to be drilled. four lower for the guide pin, four upper for the latches. The upper halo panels would need to be cut out for the latches. I got the latches and correct halo panels, guide pin retainers, at Carlisle. Window and storage tray, ebay wheather, seal Zips. Kiltime 2006-10-28 09:02:04

Now I am confused...
To mount everything except the tray
I DID NOT NEED TO DRILL ANY HOLES. ... none..zip..zilch.. in my 76
The guide pins were already on the New replacement window.. the holes for them were already in the vehicles frame, and the holes for the latches were also already in the vehicles frame..
I did have to get a nut up inside the holes for the latches..not much of a problem to do...

I have heard of that but the only holes on my 73 that were there' was for the guide pins "sguare" hole I had to drill holes for the lower retainers and tha upper latches. I used 1/4 20 J-nuts for the latches.
