I am having trouble finding a switch for my rear window defogger on my 1972 LS5. When I bought the car, the switch knob was there, but when I opened up the panel, I found out the switch was gone. The knob and switch are located on the panel just down by the passenger's right leg on the side of the console. If anyone might have any information as to where I might obtain one, I sure would appreciate it. Thanks! Jimmie

Vette(s): 1972 Corvette coupe, unrestored, 155,000 miles. 1995 Corvette 6 speed convertible
Jim, I did some research on your problem with the switch, and it seems your best bet to find one may be with "ZIP" products....1-800-962-9632. Corvette Central catalog mentions the switch, but only for newer C3's than yours. Their number is 1-800-345-4122. Good luck! Howard |thumb|

I have come up empty on that one too. Zip are good people, but if they can't help you try Gary Gruhala

Thanks everyone for your replies to my question. I have called all the people that you suggested, and I pretty well got the same answer from all of them. This switch is not available, and probably would have to be picked up at a salvage yard, or keep an eye on all the auctions. Apparently this switch has never been reproduced. Again, thanks for everyone's help. Jimmie
