I have a 1980 baby....yes its my baby...

I am trying to find out how the rear speakers were originaly in the car. How they were mounted and maybe get a picture of how they look... any help would be appreciated..

I don't think the back speakers weren't that different than in the 78's If so someone will correct me. There is a bracket that holds the speakers in the corners. If it is missing like ours was in Colleen's 78 then you could maybe find them in one of the many corvette magazines. We decided to let the stereo shop make up some wooden brackets to fit 5 x 7 inch speakers in. they originally thought they could fit 6 x 9's in. but the 5 x 7's fit better. There is a hole in each corner that they fit into. You will find a screw hole near the sides even if the bracket is gone. Hope this helps some. |wavey| |cheers| |saluteflag|
