Does anyone out there still have that "Rear Pop Out Back Window Holder" in their '68 - '72 Vettes? What is the technical name for that thing?? It's like a cardboard type material, foam is glued to parts of it, a chrome latch that's labeled "Back Window Storage" that you put your back window in to store it. I have looked & looked through a lot of parts catalogs, etc. and never see those offered or the chrome latch thing either. What if it breaks? Who has experience with this or has seen a reproduction?

And how were you supposed to store your T-Tops in the back? I have the '69 owner's manual, but can't comprehend how to use those belt buckle deals on the sides...they seem useless. I hope I'm making some kind of sence???!!! Thank you in advance for any helpful insight!!!

How 'bout a little "editing" on those pics!!!!!
I don't know of anyplace to get the storage "TRAY", but a call to Paragon should find one. Be prepared to spend some $$$$!

Glen - Yeah, that helps!! "Praise the Lord, I saw the LIGHT, no more darkness, no more night......now I'm so happy, no sorrow in sight........"    For some reason, I always think it's more complicated than it really is. A BIG THANK YOU!

Joel-BIG THANK YOU ALSO! Mine is still intact with the foam still on, but the foam is kinda nasty (35 years old)which I can get at Hancock's. I was trying to find another "Tray" just in case...never hurts to have a spare hard to find part. I will have to call Paragon.

Do you still have your tray? Ya know Al, I have an idea....it just now popped in my head!! I hope this isn't against the C3VR Membership Rules (Adam, please don't kick me out), but we could make them and sell them thru the C3VR exclusively. Profits could go to C3VR functions & the NCM. I know I could copy the one I have in my car once I gathered up the materials......

Micki, if your tray is just worn, the "flocking"(technical term for "foam" ) can be redone. I can give you a contact for getting this reflocked, if you like. This guy does this for the window trays, and is really good. Also, this same stuff is used for the rear storage compartment "boxes/trays". Even if the cardboard box is crumpled/damaged, they can be fixed!

The black flocking is done by John Waluk, 31 Squirrel La, Levittown, NY 11756,  Phone is 516-796-2984.  He advertises in the National Corvette Restorers Society magazine, and has done so for some time, so he must do nice work.  He also does the flocking on the fiber trays that go in the storage compartment.  The 68 clip to hold the tray up is available NOS from Pacific Corvettes out of Puyallup, WA.  The 69 is different as it does have white letering on it (the 68 is just a metal clip).  The 68 and 69 trays are a little different, but I don't know the specifics.  If you need a picture of a 68 tray, let me know as mine is out of my car at this time.

Mark-
I hope it's not too late to see a photo of your '68's tray......I forgot about this post or accidently deleted it when it notified me on the watch.
