Vette(s): 1972 LT-1 convertible with factory air. 2017 Black Rose Grand Sport M7 convertible.

On my 72, it's way over on the right side just behind the lower edge of the dash and held by a clip.

Vette(s): 1975 roadster. (2) 1981's at this time.

It's easy enough to turn the key "on" position, and then turn your blinker on to be able to listen for the sound off the flasher.  It will either be on the fuse box under the dash, or possibly under the radio area.  Good luck.

Apparently it is fixed. Should have made a new post instead of updating the OP.
