I am a nubie to vette buying! Looking at a 79 with front and rear spoilers like the 78 Pacecar - how much do they add to the value of vette? Also what equipment is included in the Rally Sport Package?

Hi Stephen, I am far from being an authority on the subject, but being a '78/81 owner I have kept an eye on these things. I don't know what they cost from the factory or what value they might add but you can buy either option after market for about $350 if you install them yourself. I suppose the expense would be having them painted to match. I like both options myself.

Never heard of a "Rally Sport" option for Corvette....that was an option on Camaros, tho.
There were just a little less than 7000 '79 Corvettes built with the front and rear spoilers, but they were not part of any particular "package"...just an option. They do add a small amount to the value of the car if they were factory installed, but not a lot. The spoilers could also be bought from the dealer over the counter...
Tell us more about the car you are looking at....colors, engine/trans, etc.

Thanks for that Joel, I never heard of a "Rally Sport" corvette, so I was waiting to see if anyone else might have. Sounds like we have some auto store accesories, emblems or stickers stuck on a C3.
I think this newbie needs a new buyers check list before he goes any further.
This site can get you pretty educated before you make a C3 purchase, just ask for help if you need it......DO NOT RUSH INTO A VETTE PURCHASE UNEDUCATED !!!!
