I finally bit the bullet and decided to replace my radio. I  had and old kenwood cassette player that was there when I bought the car. In my opinion, it didn't fit properly. Kinda just was stuck in the hole. I could only get one station on it and then at other times It would pickup everthing around. I even checked the ant. and the grounding strap to make sure that was making a good connection.
Anyway, I really didn't want to cut anything out, But I couldn't see away around it. I bought a Pioneer Cd player, ( the only one I could find that wasn't an in your eye thing) cut the radio hole out to fit, and installed it. I also installed some 6" Pioneer speakers in the rear. I made a templet out of cardboard for the space behind the wheelwells. Then transferred to 1/4" luan. Cut this out, covered it with some of the old carpet that I had removed last year. Then Mounted and installed. Just one note, the left and right are different measurments, gotta watch it. I had to redo the drivers side.
