QUESTION ABOUT SEATS

Vette(s): ' 76 Customized .Mid year rear window ( ' 67 style ). It has an '80 nose,'80 rear bumper , and a 76 hood . Also , I squeezed in a ' 94 Vette LT1 . Paint is a custom mixed BLACK with RED PEARL mixed in !
JUST A QUICK QUESTION . WILL SEATS FROM THE YEARS  '78-'82  FIT IN MY  '76 ? AS IN , WILL THEY BOLT DIRECTLY IN PLACE. OR, AM I LOOKING FOR A WORLD OF GRIEF ? Confused

The seat mounting rails on an '80 seat are 19 inches from front mounting hole to the rear one.  If the '76 are the same, they should bolt in.
 
I just put a set of '80 seats in my '69.  The front seat mounts were O.K., but I had to drill new holes because the seat mounting rails were about 2 inches longer.  Because the floor is fiberglass, I had to remove the mounting plates and remount them inline with the new hole.  It wasn't that hard.  Just took a little time.

there is another post on this and what seats you can install. will see if i can find it. i am pretty sure to install c4 seats they said you just had to add a  piece of steel about 2 " long. will try to find other post as it had a link on how to install.
