OK I agree that no matter what is asked here even if it's been asked before you will always get a friendly answer. As for the overide switch mine is not there, one thing I need to replace, it looks like the vac lines are all there under the dash. I do have a vac leak that needs to be fixed, I have the one light wink thing going on every now and then after driving a while and shutting her down. As far as spraying the moving parts of the headlight assemblies would a silicone type spray be better?

You can use the wd40 or ??? just hold a rag behind the area you are sraying, so that it doesn't spray around. If your over ride is missing make sure that your vac lines are plugged off, and repair the other vac leaks and you will find a difference in your light operation.

  WD 40 or whatever sure helps! My drivers side starts to creak after a couple of months; every time the lubricant always works. I never thought about the consequences of overspray, though. I just crawled underneath and hosed everything with spray, I hope I haven't ruined the fiberglass. Aren't the original front ends urethane?
