What year is your car? According to the Corvette Black Book, VIN plates attached to the dash or A-pillar visible through the windshield weren't done before the 1968 model year. Prior to that they were on the instrument panel support brace where it's visible below the glove box, the drivers' door post, or the steering column in the engine compartment depending on what model year of the car.
If yours is a '68 or later it should have a VIN plate visible through the windshield. If it's been removed, the only thing I can suggest is contact your MVA and ask them if it matters since the others locations have the correct VIN. For your benefit and the benefit of potential future owners, it's something that should be addressed.
