Came out to the car (1972 coupe) the other day and the power windows don't work. I checked fuses, the relay on the forewall, etc. All appears fine but the switches do nothing. Any ideas where to look firts? Thanks.

Is there any power(12v) at the relay when the switch is pressed to roll the window down? It's hard to believe both switches took a dump at the same time, so I would think there is a connector issue, or no power getting to/from the switches. You may need to pull the console and test for power at the switches, and then at the window motors next.

Are you sure the windows use relays in 72? Check to see if you lost power to the switches. I need to look at a different diagram. Mine did not show the windows.

It's more like a breaker than a relay, really, but it should still be powered with the switch pressed...
