plastic lenses

Can anyone recomend a good way to clean-up plastic lenses? My  a/c  and shifter lenses are grungy. My dome light is yellow. My taillight lenses are pretty bad also.

A cleaner/treatment for plastic convertable top rear windows may help.

The shop that repairs our radios, etc, buffs yellowed plastic, and they often clean up pretty well.  The yellowing is often on the surface.

Dome light lenses are so cheap to purchase, it doesn't make much sense trying to get the yellow off. Sometimes, as Larry says, the yellowing is just on the surface, especially if the owner was a smoker . That junk can be cleaned to a certain extent, but new lenses are cheap enough it's better to just get a new one, imho.

A great plastic cleaner called Plexus works pretty good. (Expensive, found on ebay) I use pledge on clear gauge plastic. I t hides any scratches and make it look new.

You can use a light auto rubbing compound, I use in the shop to do plastic headlights, and coach lights on Limos.
