After 25 years, the interior was getting a little grungy.
I've used lots of different cleaners, to some degree of success.
I replaced one part that was cracked.
But I always wanted to paint the center roof panel.
So today I took it out, cleaned it as good as possible and painted it.
The color was a great match.
Now it looks new again.

Your's is "fancy" with the light in the center panel. I don't have one of them things on my center roof panel.

Hey Dave I did some painting today myself. Working on the storage compartment doors. Painted new door trims and installing new carpet. Who knows what else.

That piece turned out great. And by painting the original, you know it will fit properly.

That looks great. I just pulled all the trim pieces out to paint and freshen up on my 78 and hope I get as good of results as you did. What did you use to clean. One post on here suggested we could use dishwasher as long as you pull everything out before the dry cycle.

The instructions on the paint can said to remove all dirt and wax. It suggested using acetone.
I just used soap and warm water, scrubbed it real good.
That took a lot of the dirt off.
Let it dry, then sprayed.
Should last another 25 years.
