Vette(s): 79 L-82--------- ok so zz4 motor still at the interior Nice paint job guys
Has anyone found a sizeable amount of lacquer in this country?(US)
I would sure rather paint a few panels with Lacquer than change formulas. I hear it blends well also.
Thanks for any info.
By the way GM Code 13 (silver) on a 79

Can you (or do you) use clear laquer and put the tint / color in? If so try a guitar builder / luthier (how ever ya spell it) web site. Mcfaddens?

Most guitar builders use nitrocellulose laquer. Our cars were painted with acrylic laquer. GM called it the "Magic Mirror Finish"

Test your tint first with a small amount to be sure.

Yup, Guitar dealer here... Most vintage guitar paint was DuPont Car paint.. Try reranch or re-ranch.com, they are my paint guys.. Also, try Levine in Conn. Theyre great for car stuff...
