paint body touch up

well I always thought that I would keep her as she is till' I could afford a pro repaint, but, as I have found from others this  COULD go into some real money ................$5K- $10 K..(you gotta be kiddin me). So as this is a 70 vert, that is a blast to drive....and in no way a show car, I thinks I will be leaving the paint on it for a while, or at least ontill time drives up what she is worth..............certainly not preparred to spend 1/2 of the cars total value on a new paint job! As luck would have it the guy I bought it from a couple years ago had about 1/2 a quart of the paint he had mixed a few years back....I have used it to cover some small chips and it works well to disguise them pretty well. Can says it is  DUPONT CROMABASE  1993 Toyota red 3k3b.......YEAH I KNOW....But it actually looks good....sorta tomato red. I recently went to NAPPA and they made me a spray can of it,and I still have quite a bit left. The car has an ameture respray with this paint and it has some small blobs a couple very small spiderwebs and the like but the chips/chunks in the photo I would like to touch up. My thoughts are sand all traces of paint from the area...build up with fiberglass , and bodyfiller, prime and respay as small an area as possible to blend in with the good paint....after a season or so blend in better with rubbing compound...and then wax. I am not looking for perfection as the paint on it is filled with flaws to an educated eye, HOWEVER, when the carnuba gets buffed out....it realy looks great. any advise or comments on technique?

Eric, as long as it's not metalic, you can blend in pretty well. The only problem can be due to a bit of fading of the original finish.
