Where is the best place to find '78 Pace Car front and rear spoilers for my '79? Has anyone had any experience installing them?

Be aware that installing the pace car style(or any other, I guess) front spoiler will put more strain on the front fenders, due to the amount of air they catch. A lot of original pace car owners(the ones that actually drive them) have found the bonding strips on the front fenders tend to show cracks way sooner than the cars without the spoilers. I've seen a few myself. That being said(and mostly ignored), many folks have put them on a lot of 78-79 cars, just for the looks. Guess why GM changed the front end in '80?!
They install fairly easily, using most of the bolts already there, for the front air dam, plus a couple of other fasteners on the ends.
The rear spoilers bolt on thru the bumper cover/rear body area, which means drilling holes.

Vette(s): 1978 (25th Annv. Edition)Red, Black interior, 4-Speed Transmission, L-82, Power & Air, Very Rare Option Package(Only 145 Red 1978s with a 4 speed trans) & Very Original Car, with original Window Sticker, Bill of Sale and all documentaion.

You can find them at Mid-America Motor works, Ecklers, Corvette Central or Corvette America.

I bought my rear pace car spoiler for my Red 78 @ Mid America. Man does it make the car. I already had the front spoiler on when I bought it.

I had my body man that repainted my Vette paint and install it. It really balances out the car and makes it look very aggressive!

Don't buy the ACI version Indy Spoiler. Mine blew apart after it was on for awhile. I don't guess it could withstand the wind stress.
I have the Mid America Indy Pace Car spoiler now and am very happy with the it.

Can you say "Photo-Shop"?
The original spoilers were urethane(flexible); most aftermarket stuff is 'glass. If you drive one fast enough(and who doesn't), long enough, they will crack...BOO! I'm on my third air dam(factory style), and it just cracks from the resistance to the wind as I drive. (I don't/haven't hit any curbs with it.)
