Oyster Interior 79 or 78 - carpet color

I have a 79 with Oyster interior. All interior was replaced approximately 10 years ago. The carpet is kind of light or medium gray. I want to order a new carpet set but the supplier tells me that they have a Oyster carpet. On the other hand, the door interiors were also replaced and the carpet at the bottom of the interior is the same matching light-medium gray. Could someone confirm me the carpet color that goes with Oyster interior for a 79 (or maybe a 78 because when I bought it, the seller was selling it as a 78 while it was a 79). Thanks a lot for your help !

My '78 has an Oyster interior, but the '79 Oyster is different. I believe it's darker. My carpeting is not gray in any way...it very well matches the upholstery, the doors and the dash pad. It's more beige and no gray.

Look in one of the parts house catalogs, most have photo samples of the interior colors.

In Eckler's catalogue, they show one example of carpet set (in red) and one example of door panel (oyster panel and deep purple carpet). Your answer proves me that the existing interior of my 79 is not "typical" of the oyster interior. In fact, there were a lot of parts that were black and that I dyed in oyster.

Gunslinger, I would have another question for you. The trim around back window, is it oyster or black ? Mine is black.

My 79 still has the factory carpet in it and it is a lite or medium gray. The bottom of my doors are gray also as well as the rear deck area. Hope this helps.

The 78SA that I had back in 91 had the oyster interior. Carpeting was grey.
According to the info in the GM Restoration Package for both 78 and 79 (I have both manuals) carpet with oyster interior is grey.
The trim around the base of the back window is black.

The inside trim around my rear window is black. I imagine it was like that for all, regardless of the interior color scheme.
