Orange wire with connector

I have a Orange wire with a 2 prong connector, in the engine compartment, coming off the main power harness, I can't figure out what it belongs too. All my gages work.

Hi.

Not knowing what year your Vette is, I can only go by what I know about my '73. And like what Joel mentioned, and knowing all orange wires are directly off the battery (always hot), my guess is that it too is for the alarm system (hood switch perhaps).

Thanks guys, I believe you are correct, there is no wires going to the alarm switch or hood switch.
