After assembling my front grill/bumper assembly (I took it apart 2 years ago and didn't take pictures - duh!) I am left with a long rod that looks like it supports the body up front. It must be 18" long and it has small bends at each end and a welded nut for a single bolt. I think it went from the frame to the bumper support assembly somewhere. Checked the AIM and can't find this piece. It's a 72 big block coupe, any ideas?

It goes from the center hole in the core support up to the top of the big u-shaped bumper support. It's in the AIM section 11 (sheet metal) page A12, just before how to mount the front fender side louver (gills). In my Mid America repro AIM, it's page M234.

If you don't have one, it may be helpful to have an assembly manual. They show every part on the car and where it goes. I got mine from Mid-American.
