Vette(s): had a really nice one. sold it to a good friend. Purchased 2004 custom coupe in Feb. 2009 did not tell anyone here until August 2009. BAD I KNOW.

Okay so as I am driving her with lights on and rarely the heater it seems lately that the dash lights and gauges (or maybe just the gauges) seem to go dim and then back to normal (please no normal remarks)

I have no idea if this is some thing serious or what, the vette runs strong, has even sat during the monsoons for over 30 days and started right up.  charging guage has always been a little on the charge side since I've owned her, neddle ticks back and forth with turn signals.

thanks family.

If it's  just the dash gauges lights  & not the headlights ..it's probably the light switch. Try turning the switch from dim to high several times as a little corrosion on the contacts can cause this problem or it could be just old & going bad (it did in mine).

Alan is probably right on.....the dimmer rheostat could be causing this, if it is only the instrument panel lights. It could possibly be a loose/corroded ground to the panels, also. Twist the knob a few times and see if that changes the symptoms. Adams' Apple38770.2498032407
