I am going to put new carpeting in my 1981, any tips, reccomendations are welcome.
Also who has the best replacement carpeting on the market?

I was very happy with my carpet from Wilcox.  It was drop shipped from ACC (largest manufacturer of auto carpet) at a better price that the usual guys.  Give them a call...........

I'm another Wilcox fan.  Just finished a complete interior upgrade and got everything from WIlcox.  I was very impressed how everything fit and went in especially for a newbie at this like me.

I just orded a complete back and front carpet set from Wilcox for my 81, cost was 219.00. The phone represenative was named Norm, he was helpful, knowlegable and easy to work with.
I will defineatly use them as a source.

For those of you that bought from Wilcox,  did any or all of  it come with the  foil backed sound deadener/ insulation attached to the back,  if so, which pieces ?   thanks

Bought mine from Mid Am, came with the foil sound deadner on the back and installed prefectly. Can't tell you the price because it was part of the package.

The front carpets came w/ the jute only attached, the rear pieces had no padding at all.
 
I bought a roll of the foil backed jute from Rick's & cut the pieces to fit.  Part #'s CAR550 & CAR551.  Very good price.
