i'm getting ready to put in new carpet in my 77 and i just got a roll of extra padding, which side should face the floorpans the foil or the padding and what type adhesive dose the best job, thanks alot for help i can get.  verneymac77

the foil should face the floor.  3M adhesive in a spray can.  got mine at Wal-mart.

The stuff Hank got works very well.  He did a good job installing it.   Looking at his, I would say there is no reason to spend more and get it anywhere else.
On the "Tail of the Dragon"
(some day, no strike that, October 2008 it turned red, still in progress!)

this is what I used from Lowe's.  Home Depot has the same stuff.  I used 3 rolls.  I think I'll get another for the doors.
