Hey Bob, you call your work amateur ..I think not..to define professional one has to do what you did in a certain amount of time..say 4 hours..and must look perfect..Its hard to do both...not many people do what you did and have it look half as good..I do interiors on occasion but every time is a little battle that fights me..seats are more difficult than carpet but are actually fun..have fun with the arms..maybe a bbq deal in the spring!

Rich,

Thanks for the compliment.  I had fun and learned along the way.  BBQ sounds like a great idea.  I’ll try to arrange something early in the summer.  Don’t want to interfere with Paul’s BBQ.  His party is too good!

Jim,

I did it piecemeal and had to wait for parts.  But I think I invested about 20 to 30 hours of my time.

Bob

Hey Bob..obviously a compliment is deserved..the time you put in cannot be substitued with experience..I have always said that one does his best work on ones car..I do my best with every car I work on..I just feel more conscious with my own..time really doesn't matter with you own car..I think a bbq in the early summer sounds great!

Bob, blue dots were HUGE in the 60s and 70s. Taillights are one of the easiest projects. Just make sure you get stainless steel screws. The ones they send you are zinc coated. I went to Fastenal and got some good ones. Keep up the good work!
