Just bought our first Corvette - 74. Have some small rusted areas at the base of the windshield on both sides, It's a running/driving car so we want to make a few repairs over the winter, looking forward to driving around the "North Country" here in NH next year. Any suggestions on the windshield support repair will be greatly appreciated... Yee-Ha off on a new adventure!!!

Best suggestion is to remove all of the trim on the inside of the windshield, and see just how bad the rust is...it may be worse than you think. I sure hope not, but these thing do rust, and major repairs can cost a pretty penny.

If the windshield frame area is very rusty, you should check the frame itself especially in front of the rear wheel. This area has proven to be so bad that there are actually frame repair sections available through aftermarket suppliers.
