I'm installing new vortec heads on my '76 and the temp sender port in the heads is much smaller than the stock port. I know the ohms on the stock vortec heads unit is not correct for a '76 and will not work.
I've tried the local parts stores but their books do not show the ohm ratings of any temp senders.
Can anyone help out?
Thx

electronic parts for these cars is getting harder and harder to come by. I went to GM and ask for an ACdelco power window relay and its been discontinued. you might want to call GM and make sure its still being produced.

You could always download this Parts # manual and see if you can find it. It's HUGE, so it may take forever to download, but I'll bet it has the part #.

Anything, but Stock and more mods to come!
SSBC Force 10 Brakes, 3.73, TH350, 355 CID, Rack and Pinion, Vette Brakes suspension front and rear.
I would call the following and see what they say. There has to be other corvette owners that have made the swap and run into this problem.

I'm going with the vortec temp unit. From what I've been told, it's been used on sbc since the 82 vette and it is close to original in calibration.
Thanks for the help!
