AND, JUST WHEN YOU THINK ALL'S WELL ........
DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE I CAN BUY A COMPLETE HORN ASSEMBLY KIT FOR MY ' 76 ? ANY CATALOG I'VE LOOKED IN SAYS THEIR KITS AREN'T FOR A ' 76 . SO, IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM, YOU RIDE AROUND WITHOUT A HORN ? WHEN I MOVED THE WHEEL UPWARD ( YEP, TILT AND TELE COLUMN ) , THE HORN BUTTON POPPED OFF . GOT IT BACK ON, BUT NOW, IT'S AS IF IT IS SOLID MOUNTED . DOESN'T MOVE NO MATTER WHAT I TRY . ALSO, WHEN IT DID BLOW, THE HORNS SOUNDED ODD, AS IN SHORTING, OR NOT SOUNDING AS LOUD AND CLEAN AS SHOULD BE . SO, AGAIN, ALL HELP IS WELCOME . THANKS GUYS !!

The 76 is a one year only horn button...
...with the odd-ball steering wheel.
What you might try is locating the horn set-up from a Monza/Vega, as that is the type steering wheel use on the '76 cars.

I MIGHT HAVE TO TRY GIVING CONTEMPORARY CORVETTES A SHOT. I'M SURE THEY HAVE MORE THAN ONE ' 76 THEY CAN TAKE THE PARTS FROM. OF COURSE, THAT'S NOT SAYING THOSE ARE ANY GOOD EITHER !

The car is such a hybrid now why stop at the steering wheel, change to a different year, just kidding.
Sounds like it just may need adjusting the horn parts and cleaning the contacts may do it, just my 2 cents.

NO IDEA WHO DID THE BACK WINDOW, AS , THAT'S THE WAY I BOUGHT IT IN ' 94.
AS FOR THE HORN PARTS , IT JUST SEEMS THAT SOMETHING IS MISSING . I'VE LOOKED AT THE ASSEMBLY DRAWING , AND AM STILL SCRATCHING MY HEAD OVER IT. I DO KNOW THAT SOMETHING IS NOT PUT TOGETHER CORRECTLY.
THAT'S WHAT I GET FOR LETTING ' NON VETTE ' MECHANICS FIX THINGS !!!
