I just bought my first 'Vette. It's a '69 convert. I bought it from my uncle, while he was showing it to me he explained that the deck lid hatch was broken and that you have to pull on the driver's side rod to release the latch. He said there was a long bolt that he tried to tighten and it broke. Unfortunately, he didn't keep it so I don't have anything to compare to. There's a metal rod about 4" long or so with a loop on each end that hangs down, not sure where that goes either. Anyone have a digital camera that could take a pic for me of one that isn't broken? Any advice greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Matt
Thanks,
Matt

Hey, Matt. Try this link to Corvette Central catalog. Pick the category "Soft Tops" and scroll the pages to "Convertible Top Release Rods." Click on the drawing(s). Anything there look familiar?

I tried that, buy the pics are pretty small, I think it may be the release rod, but not sure. I'm still not sure where the rod with the loop on both ends goes.
Thanks,
Matt
