This is the closest I can get the rod to line up with the switch and operate freely. If the bend in the rod was the opposite direction if would fit perfect, what am I doing wrong?

If I turn it around the slider will operate opposite of the key switch. (acc would start car)

I got it, the switch was upside down. Fits fine now, I really feel stupid
