Vette(s): 1981, Black/Black, Engine bumped to about 400HP.Ext/int mostly stock.
I can't seem to find any screws that allow the rear speakers and their housings to be removed from my '81. I must be missing something. Can anyone help? I want to take the entire rear enclosures out and replace with boxes I will make to hold 6x9s.
Thanks!

Upon further exploration with a philips screwdriver and a much brighter light, I was able to find access holes through the carpet, to the screws holding the speaker panels on. No further help needed...

Vette(s): 1982 Bright Blue Corvette Coupe, 5.7L 350 V8 w/ a performance chip & 160-degree fail-safe thermostat, K&N filters, Hedman Headers & a tru-dual exhaust w/ Borla tips. Turbo-700 has a B&M Shift Kit & rear end has 3.73 posi-gears.
I have a 1982 and my stock rear speakers ARE 6x9's, and I think the 81' is the same, so if you are replacing the OEM's with new 6x9 speakers, it should be an easy swap.

Hope this helps! ~ Happy Holiday's!!
