Vette(s): 1969 Corvette Stingray Convertible. Just bought it from my uncle who owned it since 1971. Fathom green, green interior. 350/300, T400.
I need a new temp sending unit for my '69 (350). I went to all the parts stores today and on AC Delco's site. Mine has a threaded stud sticking out and the wire pushes on. All the new ones have a button type and the wire is supposed to slide on. I don't want to have to modify my wiring harness. Does anyone know where I can find one with the right end?
Thanks,
Matt

Try Paragon. Their site says "accurate connection". Part no. 8454(no pic shown). $19. Also lists a GM part no. for it, 6400759

or you can use vette instruments and get a new correct sender and get your temp gauge calibrated to it

here are the prices

The calibration is 40 bucks plus return shipping and 20 for a new sending unit.

Thanks
Jason

Does paragon have a web site? I tried www.paragon.com, didn't work.

Thanks,
Matt

You could try http://www.lectriclimited.com/ I have had good luck with their sensor, and others have reported good experiences as well.
