I just purchased a C3 '78 with light beige/mahogany brown. The exterior is in great condition but I will be considering painting in the near future. I'd love to change the color but I'm concerned that it will be a affect resale value in the future. Please advise.

Is it important to keep the original paint code when restoring my C3
If I restore with a different paint color, will future resale value change?

Not sure how to answer a survey that asks a question. If your car is all original, numbers matching, then changing the color will affect the resale somewhat. But unless it is a very unique car, probably won't reduce it much. If you plan to keep it and drive it and enjoy it, I'd say paint it a color you like.

I believe the value of the later C3's is determined more by their overall condition then originality.
