more fun with fuses

Thank you to everybody who has offered information so far on my fuse panel questions. I know where to locate the fuse panel now even though I am too large to actually see under the dash. Does anyone know the types of fuses that would come in a fuse kit to replace these fuses? A link to a website with that information would get me going on this research if anyone has a link. Also, if I decide to try to replace the fuses myself, I will need to remove the front driver's seat to fit into this tight spot. Is it possible to remove the seat and how would I do it? Thanks again for the help.

Richard, a lot of the normal vendors sell the complete fuse replacement kit. They come with everything to replace all of them. To remove the seat in your 82 you have to remove the "nuts" from the studs from the seat tracks. Theses are accessible from under the car on the drivers side. There are 4 of them and they are 9/16 nuts. I have had my seat out numerous times. After you take the nuts off, the seat justr lifts out of the floor pan. Don't forget to disconnect the electrical leads for the power seat.

Early models used the old round, glass fuses while later models used the flat, paddle type fuses. Both should be available at any parts store.

Pulling the front seat out is pretty easy - loosen four bolts and lift the seat out.

It's not easy getting up in there I know - watch out for the steering wheel...!!! good luck!

i think the under car seat nuts are 13mm
