Vette(s): Just finished 2 years of Blood, Sweat, & Tears restoring my 69 Coupe. Crimsom Red, 427, vacuum removed, Shot of Steeroids, Killer Lights, 5 Speed, still working on small things but she is back on the road.
Well, I got the body off and all the repair work has been completed on the frame. I've got the rear end and new suspension installed front and back. I'm ready to put the engine and tranny back in this week. Hope to be ready to put the body back on in a few more weeks.
Can someone direct me where I can go and get the dimensions of the rear wheel well. Before I took the body off the car it really set high off the top of the tire you could actually see the top of the frame. I'm hoping someone before me didn't modify (cut) the wheel well to accommodate a larger wheel and tire. I'm hoping now that I've replaced the shocks and rear spring it comes down some.
Thanks,
Jim

If you are doing a frame off, you need the assembly manual for many other issues. Body checking dimensions are in the manual.

Thanks, I have a manual and you are correct. You are constantly looking at it to change whatever someone before you used to mount whatever back when they worked on it. I didn't see where they gave the measurements of the wheel wells but I will go back and look again.
Thanks,
Jim

The manual may not give the radius of the wheel opening, but it will give heights to the top of the wheel opening from the ground.
If not , let me know, I'll measure mine and let you know!
