OK, I just got in the upper and lower horn contact in the mail I ordered. I took the horn button of and there is no lower horn contact in my tilt/telescopic stirring wheel. That poses a question from me...What is the correct placement of the componants of the lower horn contact. Pin, spring, and I see where the insulater goes and I assume the pin goes through it to make contact with the upper contact. But, does the spring act as the electrical contact in the bottom of the whole....Hmmmm?

It has been a while since I repaired mine, but the spring provides the electrical contact. I can not remember the exact order of the items at the moment. I remember a parts break down pic somewhere which I will dig for if you need it.

Thanks Owen, I dug out my build book and found a drawing of the the Tilt/Tele wheel and it appears that the order is the spring first then the pin with the flat head down then the insulater over the other end of the pin pressed down and turned to lock the assembly into place. I did that but, as soon as I went to put my shims in and the upper contact the horn wanted to go off without being pressed. I must have a contact or insulator problem. Or I may need to add a shim or trim the lower contact pin a fudge. What do you think?
