Up front of radiator i have 2 horns, both work fine.Is the 3rd horn, which is under the drv. side front fender for the alarm? No key cylinder on outside of fender to alarm, previous owner must have removed when re painted the car.

I bet it is an alarm system horn.
I know on mine it's on the driver's side rear fender, but my car is older than yours. Do you have the build sheet on yours? If you do, it will list that alarm system. It is possible that the key-lock was removed when the car was painted.

That IS the alarm horn in the drivers side inner fender. Late in 77 they moved the alarm switch from the fender to the driver side door lock. With the door open, try locking the door with the key. See if it blows the horn. They aren't the most dependable systems so I wouldn't really expect it to work! Mike

Found it....if your VIN ends in 27373 or later the switch is the door lock switch.

Mikee, The door switch alarm works fine on my 77. If yours does not work check on the left firewall to be sure it is connected. Gene gs77vet 2006-10-12 13:32:46
