Does anyone have a line on where I could find an oem am/fm radio for my 72 in good condition and working order and how much a guy would have to drop on such an item?

No problem! FYI - I ran a search and just typed in: 1972 Corvette Radio - the links are the results.

Another option for looking at eBay auctons is to go to the eBay C3 Auctions on the Shopping page. Click on the Electrical category and then scroll down to Radios. If you want to narrow the search just modify the criteria in the Basic Search box and click on the 'Search' button.

Ok, thanks for the advice. Appears that the availability of a good one is scarce.
