I need to replace the courtesy light door switch on my 69. To do that, I need to remove the kick panel to access the switch and wiring. I looked at it and I'm not sure, and I want to be careful so as to NOT crack the panel in removal.

Tips, tricks much appreciated!!

First remove the sill plate, or at least loosen all of the screws holding it down. There should be one screw in the kick panel, usually in a deep "hole", usually towards the top/front area of the panel. From there, it should just slip right off. If your car has manual vents(non-A/C car), you'll have to deal with the linkage for that...not sure, it's been maaany moons since I did an early car.
