What is the procedure to replace the ignition switch in a 1978 column. I put a new column in last , but have had intermittant spark problems. Replacing the starter with a mini just to play safe. Not sure what else to change ? Coil, Dist, wires, column, battery, fusible links, mallory high output spark, all new ??
Someone told me that your key can send a charge to the starter to turn but also deny a charge to the coil if it is defective ??
Any thoughts.
