Been there done that!!!! will never go back!!! replace everything you can now,heatercore,cables,speedo,tach and anything else that can go wrong

Vette(s): 1982 C3 Collectors Edition 44000 miles, sat in the sun most of its life, My wife purchased it for me for Father's Day in 2007 from her girlfriend that had it for 19 years. It is on the road again. I'm retired but it is now my daily driver.

Mine was driveable before I started.  I wish I had know the rule about once removed never fitting back again.

I have just ordered new carpet for my 81.  Replacing the rear doors also (Battery and storage).  Looks like fun !!  I'll let you know how I do!!
