Interior Courtest Lights Don't go Out

Okay so my Pacer sat out all weekend in the rain and it's quite wet inside on the floors. I got it back in the garage yesterday afternoon and this morning I went out to find all the interior lights on, I don't believe they were on last night. I checked the light switch (it's off) and both doors were closed. Any ideas why they won't go off? I've got it sitting on a trickle charger now as the lights were quite dim from running the battery down all night. Thanks.

Prolly the courtesy light timer...
Mike(mknapp78-79) posted something a while back on testing the timer...I think. The service manual would have the info too.
Are they STILL on?

Not sure if this will help, but here's a weird thing that happened recently on my 71.
My interior lights stayed on- that had never happened. I checked the doors and both light triggers, even pushed them in by hand. Still stayed on.
Then I realized before driving, I noticed a small light hanging from below the dash driver's side. I didn't know what it was- thought it was actually a light for the dash itself. It looked empty, but actually had a snapped off bulb in it from a while ago.
I just pushed it up and out of the way. After driving, lights stayed on.
Well, after letting it back down and dangle, the lights went off. Turns out, it was grounding itself against a metal piece and left the lights on.
Now, I just have to try and get that bulb out- and it's giving me fits.
Maybe it's different on other models, but you never know.

It's probably the courtesy light timer as already suggested. The same thing happened on the '78 Silver Anniversary car I owned. The timer would randomly either not allow the lights to go out or would come on at odd times.
Depending on when your car was assembled, the location of the timer could be in two locations. Early '78s had the timer near the fuse box and later cars had it behind the glove box. It's bright orange in color so you can't miss it.

Thanks for the help and suggestions everyone 
But it appears that when you get an old Corvette wet, weird things happen. I pulled the car out of the garage and let it sit for awhile and it seemed to fix itself. I guess something was wet and once it dried out the interior lights went out on their own, thanks again
