I have a question regarding installing those acorn nuts that hold the hinge covers on ouir seats.  HOW DO YOU DO IT???  There must be some trick to installing these that i am too stooopid to figur out.  Is there a special tool involved>?  Seems that when ever I do this I kill more acorn nuts then I can use.  Help!  Ouch

Tap them on. I used a small socket that was about 2.3 the size of the nut and very gentle taps with a small dead blow hammer.

I tried pushing them on and was unhappy with the result of the first one.  It didn't seem to fit squarely. I then tapped them in using the same method lukesvette suggested and it worked great.
