The opening is too small for my hand to fit in. Getting the old cylinder out wasn't too big of a problem. Putting the new one in wasn't that bad. Getting it to stay there was. The big black clip you see in the picture is a BEAR to get on. And that is the old one. The lock came with a nice new shiny one, but had too much of an arch for me to even think about putting it on. I had to use vice grips and a lot of swearing  to get that sucker on. Finally got it, and I can now lock my doors. Woohoo! I'll save the passenger side for when I replace the door panels - it could be years, I don't care! So two "gotta get them done now" projects are done. Only a few more to go  I AM having a blast, though....

Good job, John!! The clip for the locks can be a real pain!!
I found I could use a pair of looong needle-nosed pliers to get that turd onto the lock.
Sometimes, the little "gasket" that fits under the lock cyl. can be the wrong thickness, or there can be many coats of paint on the car, and that makes them harder to install.
At least you can lock er up now, eh?!!
