Hey guys , Im working on a '76 getting ready to paint. New nose, repairing cracks, etc. . My question is , what is the product(s) used that glues / attaches the inner fenders to the outter quarter panels ? It looks like a rubber/ epoxy of some sort. I talked to the guys at the autobody supply and they said GM used different materials different years. They suggested I talk to experts ........ OK EXPERTS, whats the good word ?? thanks for the help !!!

Fiberglass bonding compound; same as all body panels. On your '76, if the panels are original, they are SMC.
