Hi

The plastic cover on steering column which houses the headlight dipper switchs and indicator stalk has perished over time and fallen apart? I have the replacement cover to replace. My problem is the plastic slide which fits inside has fallen out. This actuates the headlights from Hi to Lo beam, and I am not sure what position it should be in to re install? Any help would be great? I can send photos to further explain.

Scott in Oz.

I'm looking for visual aids.....hang in there....Wink

btw..if you post a pic of the plastic slide piece, I think I can describe how it fits in there. I do know it's a pita sometimes to get back into place, even tho they fall out rather easily.

I believe you have it correctly situated. The curved end(where the part number is in the pic) fits up against the wire end of the switch linkage. The turn signal stalk has a stand-off/post on it that pushes on the other end of the white plastic part. Getting all of it back up in there can be frustrating, or it may just put itself back together. MOST of the ones I've done I've had to fight with at least a little before getting it all back together.
