I have the center console off on my 74. My console is black. Figure it could use refinishing. What do you use? Spray paint? I know they make a special spray paint for plastic, or just use a regular semigloss spray paint? Thanks.....steve

If your console is like my '73 ... Use light coats so as not to ruin the textured finish. I believe I used a satin finish.
If you have the chrome borders or radio lettering... I put a light coat of "chap stick" on it to keep the paint from sticking... once the paint dried I just wiped off the chap stick and there was the chrome... you can also scrape the paint off the chrome after spraying.
There are some posts in the archives on this topic... And while at it for a few $$ ... don't forget to replace the lenses, the stick-on emblems etc... you will be real pleased.. I spent a few days doing mine... and good luck... and send some pics ..

Steve,
If I recall correctly, somewhere under the "interior" forum, there is a whole process to do your console.
