I have a telescopic steering wheel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I knew I had tilt, and people told me if you have tilt, you have telescopic, but I could never find any switch or lever to make it work.
But today, I was at the American Dream Corvette Club's annual Corvette show in Pottstown, PA... and I was parked next to a C3VR member (forgive me for not knowing your name), and we got to talking about telescopic. I said, "does yours have it?" he said "yeah"... I said "show me how you adjust it" and he got in his car, reached just above and behind the horn button and slid a lever over. I said "Holy S**T!!" and ran over to my car to find that same lever!! I couldn't believe I had never noticed it!!
Many thanks to the mystery member who helped me realize my stupidity!!
Oh, I also made a great $5 purchase at Wal-Mart... an umbrella that attaches to my camping chair... great for keeping the sun off my head and face all day!

Have no fear Adam...
We all have spent years discovering how are cars work...
The President of our local club sold his 73 BB 3 years ago and bought a grand sport and he never knew he had storage compartments in both doors until last Saturday..
He was complaining that he did not have a convient place to store his sun glasses... LOL...
BUT I can relate since I could not figure out how to dim the dash lights on my 95 this summer (while driving) I've only had the car about 5 years and driven it 45,000 miles...mostly in the daylight I guess...
Next project it to get out the owners manual and find out how to turn off the Change Oil light on the dash...
Hope to see everyone in Hershey this weekend..planning on taking the 72 BUT the new top I ordered at Carlisle still has not arrived so is you see a Red 72 with a "holy" old top on it ,...its me...

That's what you get when ypu have an old car. All of the owner's manuals are gone, and it is a discovery process. I wonder if twenty years from now if anybody will be able to figure out an in-car GPS if there is no manual.
