Vette(s): 74 coupe 4 speed 350, 54K actual miles, all original; paint, interior, engine, split bumper. #'s match. 2nd owner, no stress cracks.
79rebuild...thanks for the info and link.  That is a real a good description.  Might be a fun winter project.  Looks like lots of work.  I am new to all of this.  Notice the speaker is pointed "down" into enclosure? rather than "up"?  Is this typical?

There is wasted space behind the wheel wells of my 74.  Might be a good place for a fiberglass speaker enclosure.  Too bad a company doesn't make these.

For right now I am sticking with my MDF enclosure,  appreciate the helpThumbs%20Up
Will "google" sometime for more info..

Keep us posted on your "dash" project.  Sounds interesting too.

THANKSClap   steve

I think the sub is pointed down into the box space for accoustics. Kind of like the tubes you see for subwoofers, sub's are pretty much non directional but put them in an enclosed space and the sound becomes bigger. I'm no car stereo nerd though, if you got a teenager running around that's probably your best source for infoWink  I wathced a tv show where they made a custom dash and interior for a custom, it looked pretty nice. My dash is out of the car right now and it has seen better days and I thought it might be an interesting alternative.
