My handle is broken right in the middle of the black plastic handle.  I've tried JB weld but it just broke again.

Is it the same handle for 69-82 Vettes?

It didn't break off completely, just the front half of the black plastic hand grip.

I am kinda in the same boat. Miy button flew off and I think there was also a spring that came out and it is lost. I found a NOS handle assembly from a Chevy dealer but the handle is different than mine. It is smooth and must be from a later C3 I am going to remove mine and try to repair.

Does anyone know besides the black button if there is a spring and washer that goes behind the button? If so, where can acquire? Thanks!!

Just out of curiosity I took a peek at the eBay link on the Shop menu.  Clicked on the Braking System link and then the Emergency Brake link (it probably should read Parking Brake instead).  I modified the search criteria to broaden the search a bit (my changes are in bold red):

corvette ("emergency brake", "parking brake", e-brake) (handle, lever) (68,69,70,71,72,73,74,75,76,77,78,79,80,81,82,C3)

A bunch of new and used handles and assemblies showed up.

Good luck...!!!

Received the handle Gary! It looks like all I need is the spring from the push button. I will add the spring to mine and epoxy the button back on the shaft. It should work. If anyone else needs parts from the hand brake assy I can send, just pay the shipping. Thanks again Gary and all others that helped!
